The AAJA-Philly mentoring program was re-launched in 2011 to support the professional development and expertise of our local chapter members, build relationships and community, and further our mission of diversity in newsrooms.
Our mentors and mentees run the gamut, and include journalists from print, online, TV, video, photography, radio, and academia, specializing in city, business, arts and culture, health, and tech reporting. Any AAJA-Philly member can apply for help and guidance from AAJA-Philly’s most experienced member journalists.
AAJA-Philly’s Mentorship Program benefits both young, emerging journalists who are just building their chops and the chapter’s most veteran journalists who are also encouraged to seek support to build their skills in other mediums.
Following are details on how to apply for a mentorship, and how to get involved as a mentor.
